Casio Develops High-Performance Fuel Cell

Casio announced on May 15 that it has developed a compact, high-output fuel cell for portable devices, which according to the company will be able to provide a 20-hour running time for notebook PCs. The fuel cell is made of solid polymer and powered by hydrogen extracted from methanol. It has a volume of 22ml and power output of 19.4 watts. The new fuel cell is expected to enter mass production in the fiscal year 2010 at the earliest.
